Holloween Hootinany
Oct 31 All Hallows Eve. What once served as a spooky New Years Eve tradition for the ancient Celts (which they called Samhain) was ultimately appropriated by Pope Gregory IV in 840 AD to serve as the daylong vigil preceding the Feast of All Saints. Even so, the Christians preserved the pagan festival's spooky trappings anyway. Cunning bastards. | | Monday, September 11th, 2006 | | 8:58 am |
yeah
Boston, steals 2 kegs, almost gets into a fight over a port a potie...signs up for modeling This weekend was another rollercoaster ride of alcohol that is to become expected during the weekends. I do believe 'The Onion' sumed it up best: "Reports confirm" Binge Drinking is a Blast!" Friday night started off the weekend innocently enough. The lovely and talented Diane and I went to the Drive in with Shawn and Natalie to see 'Wicker Man' and 'Talladega Nights'. Now I'm never one to say a movie is terrible but...Wicker Man SUCKED! Week plot, barely any action..and no twist when you expect one. You can call out the entire movie within the first 20min of the movie. The only good parts of the movie are when Cage starts punching women, and he does this frequently. The other high point of the movie: On the screen next to this one...having the Guy from the Transporter totally RAILING Amy Smart. I have to see Crank now. Talladega Nights...awesome. "Did I just see Elvis Costello and Mos Def sitting there?" "No" haha Overall a great Friday night. After the movies I was a bit tuckered so the GF and I went home. Saturday's big event was the Tailgate party for the U of M. This started off action packed with me having to talk to a rival radio station about being set up on our field. You would think that they would want to be original and not ride the coattails of a great idea. lol. That and not be next to 3 radio stations from a different company. With that aside(Cindy came and dropped the hammer on them) we set up, got the tents ready, and Beck and I took our place manning the beer tent. Behind us is the private port-a-potie for the clients and station employees. Oddly enough, this is where the action happens. While watching the tent/porta thingy, I see a guy and his girlfriend attempting to traverse the spider web of caution tape that I have rolled out to make it VERY obvious that this portapotie is not for the public. The 3 porta-poties about 30ft away were for that. So this guy goes up and opens the door for his winner of a gf (complete with cowboy hat because you know....you need one of those in Memphis...what with all the cow herding going on) I casually go and explain that 'I'm sorry but this is for private use only, the public ones are right there" with which he responds with, "You gonna fight me over it?" This caught me off guard 'cause I have never actually met someone of such a high winner status that he wanted to fight me over a port a potie. So I respond with, "No, but this is a private port a potie, the public one are about 30ft that way" He then responds again with, "Do you wanna fight me over it?" This guy is classy. At this point I decide that getting security is the best answer and go to get one. While doing this He looks over to Beck, who has now also told him that it for the clients and not publie, gives her the finger and is like, "this is for you" and starts to walk away. Beck yells back, "real mature buddy" and his girlfriend is like, "what she say?" as the walk away. What is sad is people like that breed and reproduce. The rest of the party is pretty normal. At 7pm the game is getting ready to begin, we break down the event, and everyone that is heading to the game goes to the game. Seeing that we had some unfinished beer that was just going to go bad, Beck and I decide that it would be best not to waste all this good product, and we take it over to Nat's house for the Georgia game. Let me tell ya, that was a good idea. A great time was had by all there. A ton of people came over, and played cards ,watched a video, made another one, and hung out til late in the evening. Sunday, the beautiful gf and I get up and head over to the G'Town Festival. This was nice relaxing way of spending the afternoon. While there we were cornered by an employee of some modeling company who tells us that we 'have the style that they are looking for' and we enter to win a free photo shoot. Haha, Boston: the lover, the fighter, the model!" Around 2pm it started to rain so we ran back to the station van and people watched w/Drew, Shawn, and Natalie. Sunday evening Rossi, Big Scott, John, Shawn, Crate all came over to watch the Manning vs. Manning game. Good times. Cooked some meat on the grille and drank some beer. Overall another great weekend:) Today: work and work and work. Fun times | | Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006 | | 5:30 am |

You know you are from New England if...
HAHA If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May, you live in New England. If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you live in New England. If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you live in New England. If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you live in New England You know you're a New Englander when: "Vacation" means going anywhere south of New York City for the weekend. You measure distance in hours. . well, of course! You know several people who have hit a deer more than once. You have switched from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day and back again. You can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching. You install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked. You carry jumpers in your car and your wife knows how to use them. You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit. The speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 80 and everybody is passing you! Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow. You know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction. You have more miles on your snow blower than your car. You find 10 degrees "a little chilly." You actually understand these jokes, and forward them to all your New England friends & others! | | Wednesday, June 28th, 2006 | | 7:47 am |

A weekend isn't a weekend without Boston getting drunk
A quick recap before I get pics to upload from the weekend. Friday: SummerSlam. Great show w/some great bands. I met Jared Leto, and he blamed me for the bubble gum he put his hand in lol. We are up in the broadcast tower for 93X and 30 Seconds to Mars is about to interview. Jared puts his hand on the railing, and right at the spot is this piece of gum that must've been baking there for a while. He puts his hand in it, turns and looks at me and says, "Nice dude, real nice." And I responded with, "Sorry bro, but I didn't do that" I think the funniest part is that he is a germaphobe and wouldn't shake anyones hands. He dropped 'fist nugs'. Oh, and I shot the shit w/the singer of Candlebox for a bit. Fletch introduced me to him. Candlebox was one of those bands I just wrote off as nevering going to be able to see, but then they got back together. High point on thier set: Doing the stage intro for Candlebox w/Crate and Shawn, throwing out T-shirts, and then this happens: Crate, "Who's ready to see Candlebox?" Crowd -Cheers Crate, "to the left of me is Shawn and Boston of 93X!" Crowd- Boos' and at least 1 "you suck!" We have fans. Saturday: 6am-11am Good Times Morning Show. Always a good time with that one. 12p-2p - Kroger backyard giveaway. Good times had by all. I got home about 3pm and passed out til like 6pm, then got up and got ready for a bit, Crate came over and played playstation2 on the big screen. We then went to Murphy's to check out a couple punk bands, make an appearance. etc. Since we were celebrating John's b-day Saturday, we went downtown to meet up with him and the gang. Diane, Crate, and I get there, take some pics w/the Jesus guy, buy a couple beers, and John promptly leaves w/his gf for Alfreds. The rest of the gang goes to Pat O's, so Diane, Crate and I went to nosh @ Dyers. Good times. Found out that at 2am the cops start at one end of Beale and walk to the other end kicking everone off the street. Getting home around 3in the am, D and I weren't ready to sleep yet lol Sunday woke up, went to Champion Window for a 12-2 remote. They had a dunk tank! lol. After the remote went home and then D and I went to her parent's house for dinner. It's nice to have a dinner at a house once in a while. Though it makes me miss my home, it's still comforting. After dinner, we went to Blockbuster where the 2nd best thing of the day happened: As I was chatting Diane in the truck, I look behind her to see a white SUV SLAM into a green Honda Civic. I mean, this guy wailed it. He backed out of his spot and went right into the car. The best part is that he stops to assess the damage, must've seen D and I talking and me pointing going 'Holy Shit!' He then promptly screwed off. I wrote down his license plate number, and went into Blockbuster. As I walk in I shout, " Hey, does anyone own that green Civic out there? Someone just nailed your car and I have the license plate number" The general response is that I, along with like 3 other people, not only saw the whole thing happen, but got the license plate down to hah. Go Teamwork! The owner of the car wasn't in Blockbuster, but a nice lady left a note on the car with what happened. Man, hitting a car is one thing, but then getting the F' out of Dodge? If the cops hop on it, he's screwed. We rented Aeon Flux, which turned out to be a pretty cool movie. Short, but good. It touched upon alot of the aspects of the cartoon as much as a live action movie could, but was still original in it's design. I suggest renting it :) | | Thursday, June 22nd, 2006 | | 6:24 am |

Team Awesome 1, Spring River....2
After a fantastic weekend of beer swilling, canoe riding, shin smacking, absinthe shooting, hard ground sleeping fun, I have returned from my trip to Arkansas w/the gang. I am still very, very sore. Most likely from sleeping in a tent for 2 nights, and also slamming into a wall while trying to navigate the watery tundra that is Spring River with the girl. A quick breakdown: Friday afternoon) After work, I headed home to make sure we had everything for Diane and I for the trip. Having dropped my keys off in Crate's box (he watched my fish all weekend) I made my way home, backed up the bags and such, and loaded up Shawn's ride when he got there. Diane and I rode with Shawn and Natalie for the trip in his truck. The plan was to meet up with everyone @ McManus' apartment downtown. We all meet up, toss the football for a minute, then head down to Arkansas. After a couple brief stops to walgreens(beer, condoms and cameras) and Walmart (McManus needed a tee pee according to Shawn) we were on our way to the camp ground! Getting to Hardy Arkansas, we stopped at the coolest store for ice and $1 sunglasses (btw: they sold glocks. This place is great) , retooled our directions, did some nature driving, and then finally made it to the site. 3 sites for the group: Diane and I, Shawn and Natalie, McManus and Laurie, Rossi and Candace, John and Lauren, and Sam. Big Scott and Delk showed up later on that night and slept in the car. D and I decide to set up the tent for our weekend getaway (also known as Shea Bostone's, the hotel room). This tent is huge! I think it's the only tent, other than my dad's army issue tent, that I've been able to stand up fully in. We had more than ample room for everything we needed to do in there and put in there. After setting up the tents and getting our sites ready for the weekend, we threw on our swim gear, hopped into the bed of John's truck, and went swimming down the road a little ways. Getting back to the site, it was now dinner time! McManus brought a grille, and also the camp sites were supplied with a grille. I was in charge of the fire, which burned all WEEKEND LONG! Yes, I am that bad ass of a fire started. Go Boy Scouts! Firing up the ol' charcoal grilles, Diane and I feasted on the ground beef of the cow that so graciously gave it's life so that her and I may sustaine ours. After a quick count, we realized that we had somewhere around the lines of 500 beers at the campsite for everyone. D and I brought 60 alone for the 2 days, and think we were the ones that brought the least. After some good laughs and chatting and Big Scott and Delk arriving, it was time to call it a night in preperation for Saturday's olympic endevors. Oh, and Friday night was the first appearance of Dave-O from Southaven and his buddy Spring. Quote of the night, "Hi, I'm Spring like the Season." "Hi, I'm Shawn, like the name" Friday night is the first night that Diane and I realized that maybe an air mattress would have been a good idea for the trip. Oh, and did I mention that evidently a train rolls THROUGH the camp site several times a night. Great. Saturday morning I awake to feeling that every man gets in the morning when the first awake. No, not the need to pee, but the desire for pleasure! (muhahahah) Let me tell you, there is nothing more romantic than the sound of people milling around a camp site and also Shawn walking over and farting next to your tent in mid-coitus. That, topped with it being hot enough for me to sweat to the oldies when I'm not ever old was enough of a buzz kill to hold off the action til later that night. Getting out of the tent, we got ready for everything we were going to need for the day: Cooler filled with ice, beer, sandwiches, peanut butter cookies, minutemaid, and our coozies. Along for the canoe trip: Team Awesome(ake Diane and I), Shawn and Natalie, McManus and Laurie, John and Lauren, and Delk(who took on a canoe all by himself). Rossi, Candace, Sam, and Big Scott opted out of canoeing and decided to start drinking at 7:30am and go for the power drinking day. Spring River was a blast! D was in the front, and I cut my teeth being in the back for the first time. It took a while, but eventually like riding the bike, I remembered the art of canoeing. High points of the trip: Upon stopping at the first island we were greated by not one, but TWO Hooter-Meters. Let me explain these creations of the higher echelons of society. It is basically a piece of plywood with 3 sets of holes cut out with the words 'Hooter-Meter' on top. The whole point of this is for girls to place thier bare breasts into said holes to determine the size (like years and years worth of wearing bra's didn't answer this query of thiers) Noshing on some chips and gettnig the ol' batteries charged for the rest of the trip, I look around and see that the owners of the two Hooter-Meters noticed each other. I thought there was going to be a redneck confrontation. Like the lions of the sarengetti, they moved thier way through the crowd like predator to it's prey. Meeting in the middle ground, there was a stand off. Tension was in the air. The land was at a standstill. Then...nothing. They started to COMPARE Hooter-meters! This my friends, is the meat of America. I have never seen so many Confederate flag bikini tops and tattoos in my life. Boston and Diane navigate a rapid, become friends with a tree. While trying to go through one of the tough parts of the river, we had to cut a hard right, then an immediate hard left. We hadn't quite perfected this action, and upon coming out of the turn, we made a steady fast pace straight into a wall!. I flew out of my seat and into the canoe and slammed my shin into the cross bar in the canoe. That thing swelled up faster than a 15 year old in a sex shop.We promptly tipped the canoe over and fell out where Diane caught and twisted her ankle. We surveyed the situation, straightened out the canoe, and with some help of a friendly local, emptyed the canoe of all it's water. We assessed the situation and realized that we only lost 1 koozie. The tie downs worked for the cooler! Sweet Ok, I gotta get back to work. but later to come: Boston bear hugs a tree, tries Absinthe, finally consumates the tent, The crew cheers on John's 10minutes of fury, Drunken Security Guy, and Dave-O asks about Debbie. Pictures to come in a bit, and also some more great banter! | | Monday, June 5th, 2006 | | 7:20 am |
Mike goes to a wedding, gets kicked out of Church
This weekend was very relaxed, laid back and fun. Friday night was the Season 2 opener of the Radio Guys. Good times there. After work I went home and passed out 'cause Saturday morning I had a remote @ the Avenue Crossing 10am-12pm. It was actually pretty fun. Busy remotes are the best 'cause they keep you running around. After the noon hour, I packed up, flew down to the station (from Collierville I might add) to drop off the van, fly back to my house, give my self a washing, put on my nice threads, and head over to D's for her friend's wedding. All that by 2pm. Getting to the wedding, we sat in the back since we showed up like right as it started. It was a nice service, and after the newlywed's left, and the groomsmen and bride's maids etc left. Everyone was just sort of sitting there in the church when I feel a lady's hand on my shoulder. I guess they planned everything about the wedding except for the end part 'cause no one knew when to leave. It was great. Making our way to the room just outside the church, we hung around there for a few minutes before being asked to leave there and head to the reception that was in the gym a few buildings down. Highpoint of the wedding-Diane and I looking at the tie around my neck and having a really good laugh at ourselves about it. After the reception Diane and I got a ride from her mom to the Italian Fest. That was cool hanging out under the FM100 tent and relaxing. After chilling there for a bit and walking around, we decided that it was a great time to go swimming. Upon getting home we grabbed some dinner @ Kroger, went back, had dinner, and hung out. I guess the whole week caught up to me because at about 10pm I crashed out hard. D stayed up a bit and had a drink on the porch. (I was there in spirit) Sunday came by and was just as relaxing and fun. I fired up the ol' stove and made some awesome pancakes. After breakfast we started watching the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which turned out to be worse than I remembered. So we went outside to catch some rays next to the pool. As soon as we got out there, the clouds came out and covered up the sun. Deciding that Putt Putt was the way to go this afternoon, we got up and went...to the bed room ;). I guess I got a hole in one ;) After our little game of 'pitching wedge' we went out to go to the mini golf place. On the road, the sky decided that it needed to open up, so no mini golf for the 2 of us. After driving around for a touch, we went back to the apartment, and lounged around. I started to put my cd collection in order (which is a much needed job) while Diane looked pretty relaxing on the couch. A great relaxing weekend that I know I needed and I think she did as well. This week: 6/6/06--The Omen comes out, and Aurora is playing w/Lifehouse. Good times. This coming weekend...SPRING RIVER!! BOOYA! I can't wait. What's better than camping in the woods with your friends? Camping in the woods with your friends, and having a very unsoundproof tent...;) | | Thursday, June 1st, 2006 | | 5:40 am |
Open windows=a good time
This past weekend was great. Friday night drove down to Choctaw MS w/the little lady. Got down there, filled our bellies @ the Buffet, had a couple drinks @ the Lunar Lounge at the top of the moon @ the Golden Moon Casino (it was a great bar w/like neo 60's post modern look to it complete w/a hippy bartender) We then went back to the hotel room where I prompty fell ill w/a bad tummy ache. Never one to pass up lovin' w/the girl, I fought my way through it like the hero I am, opened up the window shade, and gave Choctaw a lil' show from the GF and I. (good times) Saturday morning got up, went to engineer the broadcast for the Good Times Morning Show @ the Beach Club outside the water park. Other than the little technical difficulties, the show went great. After the show I picked up D, and we spent the day at the water park laughing, playing, and having fun. I was as giddy as a school girl. Around 4pm we decided that we were nice and soaked, and wanted to hit up the sweet ass KFC/Taco Bell joint. Other than the altercation w/the manager which caused me to leave a burrito smeared over the parking lot, it was a good time. Getting back to Memphis by about 8pm, we met up w/Crate, Derek, Beck, and Jeanne @ RP Tracks for a couple drinks. After a while we were starting to get drained and called it a night. Sunday woke up a bit famished, and with a great idea in mind, D and I went to the Pancake House. That place is awesome! 2nd time there, and I almost was able to muscle down everything. After breakfast we wanted to go to the movies...so we did! X-Men 3. Good times. I'll go deeper into that in a bit (note to all: stay past the credits, I guess there is one more teaser scene that we missed) After the movie we went to Kroger, grapped some supplies for Monday, went home, and hung out for the evening. Monday was Memorial Day. I had to work from 5am-10am, but after work I scooped up the smokin' gf, went over to Natvegas' pad, and ate some dead animal while pounding fermented hops and barley. After several jumps off the roof from McManus, a couple burgers eaten by yours truly and D, some swimming around (I was naughty and didn't wait an hour after eating..I'm so extreme!) we hung out til around 7pm ish, said good by to every one, and make our way home. Things get a little blurry here. I guess at some point we decided it was time for bed. D made her way, and I told her I would be in in a minute..30min later I am on the couch and not quite sure where I am. Upon realizing that I missed my bed mark by about 1 room and 30ft, I corrected the problem and found the girl. Overall another perfect weekend filled with my girlfriend, friends, Choctaw MS, spending $150 in 2 days, beer, hot window lovin, laughs, and of course. me being awesome(haha I'm big in Canada) Later today I'll get into the fun lil' details about earlier this week: Tie Me Up Tuesday, Boston gets a lot of hairs cut, etc. But first, I gotta go and do that whole 'job' thing. later homies and home girls! | | Thursday, May 25th, 2006 | | 9:10 am |
Arkansas.....making me laugh every day of my life
So yesterday Shawn, Rachel, Fletch, and I had plans to drop of 'enter to win' boxes to about 25 local Krogers for a big ass promotion involving the stations, tostitos, pepsi, budlight, and other various companys. My route involved 6 different Krogers, the last of which was in West Memphis AR. ( I love the fact that my directions had a note on it saying to brings someone with me if I could..for safety reasons. I had the 'fun route') I do the first 3 w/out a problem, run home and grab lunch, do 2 more, then make my way down to the last one in W. Memphis. Getting down there I started to loose my way... I notice a nice girl walking down the street who seems to be from the area so I pull over (I am in the 93X scion so it's not like I'm some random dude pulling over) and the conversation goes something similar to this: Me,"Hey, is there a Kroger around here?" her,"Yep" ........................(20seconds of silence) Me, "Uh, do you know where it is?" Her, random noices ................................. more silence Me,"Uh, can you tell me where it is?" Her," Nope, I don't know how to get there, but there is one around here" She then directs me to a lady sitting in a minivan down the road. I got to her and she game me directions to the place. Man I love imbreeding. Afterwards Diane and I went to visit Wallnutz and her new Chitlin. Cute kid. Later on in the evening D and I went to back to my apartment and watched the season finale of House (her mom taped it for us 'cause the night before we went to the Redbirds game). The final episode was pretty rad. I liked it, just wish I wasn't so out of it for the last ten minutes, But don't worry. After the show I perked right back up, grabbed a shower, while in the shower my awesome girlfriend lit room up w/some nice candles and well....if you want the details just email one of us. Today: Work, Snack Attack FM100 remote. At some point get my truck, then maybe a Traveling Twisted Thursday remote for 93X? This weekend: CHOCTAW MS!!!!! WOOT WOOT! | | Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006 | | 7:10 am |
Boston-1, Tree-1...The tree fights back
unbeknownst to me, the tree had goons to work with it. Upon going home yesterday, I noticed that the tree was BACK UP! Now, for some, this would be an act of war....but I feel as though this could be a call of truse(sp). THIS IS A DECLARATION OF TOTAL WAR! CALL ME SHERMAN! I SHALL MARCH MY TROOPS RIGHT TO THAT TREE AND BURN IT TO THE GROUND! This, I decree! | | Monday, May 22nd, 2006 | | 8:37 am |
Once again, Boston proves there is no filter for his brain
My shower head now has 4 options: Soft, Medium, Hard, and VAGINA BEATING. That's my personal fav. Now on to the lack of filter. Saturday night while hanging out in the tent, Raheema(sp) from The Office Depot came by w/her friend. She wanted to meet my sweet gf, and to hang out. She brought along a friend. Now for those of you who don't know me to well: Me+driinking+new audience=fresh meat. Everything was going fine w/some normal playing of grab ass with Crate until he said those fateful words: Boston, say something just wrong. Something sick. Don't hold back. I am now going to paraphrase 'cause even I am not to sure if this came out of my mouth. Boston, "Hey Crate, try to imagine your Dad F'ing your sister in the ass as you walk in naked and start to rub him down. He then places his limp noodle in your mouth while you sister sings the national anthem.." (is it getting warm in here or is it just me?) Around this time a pure look of horror has ecompassed Crate's face, I look over to Raheema and her friend to see what can only be described as 'deer in Mac Truck headlights...stoned' Mission Accomplished. I look over to Diane, smile, and give her a kiss. She then turns to Crate and says, "Well, you asked for it" Saturday night Started @ RP Tracks, then went to the Complex to check out Aurora. I dig thier new songs, especially the first one they played. It looked like they had the most fun playing that song out of the whole set. Oh, and who runs out of Bud Light @ a bar? Highpoints: Diane totally grabbing my junk in the crowd, and Beck making like a Hoover all over the damn place. quote," Somebody better run to wall street and sell thier stock, 'cause Beck's gonna put Hoover out of business!" After the show, D and I went to her friend's B'days keg party. Natty Light on tap (brings back memories) Good times there. Hung out for a little while, then went home, took out a tree, grabbed my mail, and passed out. Sunday: Woke up @ the crack of noon, went down to the BBQ fest w/Drew and Baker to clean up. Afterwards went to Jimmy's, picked up the heaviest pizza ever(that took 45min to cook) went home, watched Super Group, took a shower, and hung out and had bonding time w/the girlfriend. She loves me:) Today, clean the vans, and relax. Good times. | | 8:36 am |
Boston-1, Tree-0
Upon coming home Saturday night from the Keg party that Diane and I went to (for her friend's Brad and Bailey's birthdays) I was challenged by the tree to another round. Sizing him up, and checking to see if my truck was up to the challenge, we were prepaired for battle. Upon hearing the bell, I charged. It was quick fight, and no blood was lost. When the dust settled, I stood there victorious. I had defended my pride, and kept peace in the valley. The tree is no more. I ran over a tree Saturday night because it was talking shit to me..... Afterwards, Diane and I went and got my mail, but not before squealing my tireds like a couple pigs in heat. I love my truck. This weekend was a great time. From Thursday night-Saturday was the BBQ fest, drinking was had by all, and a good time was accompanied the drinking. Friday night Diane and I went down to the Fest, and ran into the crew in the tent w/2 kegs on Budwieser Light. dammit, I'll finish this post in a bit....satelitte feed is eating it and I have to switch the show to ISDN. yeah, work! Oh hey, did anyone see 'Super Group' last night on VH1? That show looks interesting. Everyone is totally stoked to be playing w/Ted Nugent. Haha. | | 5:48 am |
Yay for weekends!
Boston plans on going to Buckineer, Lives out a Dream Instead Once again this weekend proves that good weekend are had when you add in a wonderful girlfriend, great friends, beer, chairs, drive in movies, kareoke, evil bartenders, jr porn star actions, and Gilmore Girls (I am still waiting for the episode when they throw everything down and just start making out hardcore) Friday night (since the Radio Guys are on Seasonal Break...more info on that to come soon) We all decided that the Drive-In would be a great time. After agreeing upon seeing MI:3 and Scary Movie4, we all met up @ the Mapco across the street from the Drive in. This is where I felt the need to chase Diane around the parking lot w/my new found vampire type cheese and sausage teeth. Good times. Getting into the drive in area, we set up the cars and chairs, crack open a few cold ones, and partake all that is mission impossible 3. May I suggest drinking during that movie. Alot. After the first movie, Diane decided to have a test of strength and piggy back me across the lot. Lets just say that I shouldn't try to make her laugh when doing so... During movie #2 more beer was had...and some 'other' libations were partaken by the guys and girls. Scary Movie4--still funny even the 2nd time around. :) After the end of the 2nd movie, everyone wanted to head to Bubba's to meet up w/the Rossinator (who still has my dvd). Diane and I decided that it was time to hit the dusty trail and went back to my place. Chez' Bostone's turned in...Ron Jeremy's shag pad for the next several hours. ;) Details to be had if desired, but lets just say...mission accomplished. Waking up at 8:30-9am (since we are now trained to be up before noon) we felt the need for some breakfast. Waffle House was calling, and we answered on the first ring. That place is great. Not only does thier food kick ass, so do thier waitstaff. Taking a liking to my shirt, one of the waiters befriended D and I w/gifts of fire and calculator-related jokes. Wait, I think this happened on a different day. I believe that we went to Pancake house at this time..but no cool waiter... After dinner, we went over to he place so her parents could use the day to go out and run errands. Enter: Saturday evening. We started the evening visiting Wallis and her brand new chitln. We got there just in time to help them move from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. Cute kid. The original plan was to head over to the Buckineer to check out Legion and other fine bands. Seeing as how it was still a touch early, we met up w/Shawn, Natvegas, Brooke, Arron, and Natvegas' roomate Todd?(I apologize for the lack of name..I met him once and almost instantly started drinking) at On the Border. Being informed by Shawn that thier current waitress had a total lack of talent in her profession, I made my way up to the bar to pick up some social lubrication for the girl and I. After waiting at the bar for like 5 good minutes, the bartendar casually walks out, and takes my drink order. I decide that a XX is good for me, and bottle of Bud's lightest for the girl. I then notice that she is about to crack open a can at the bar. Inquiring about the classyness of such a drink, she informs me that they are out of bud light bottles....this confuses me. I order a goblet of bud light draught instead, and attempt to start a tab. I am promptly denied and given my card back, and informed that they start the tab in the computer. She then begins to lecture me that we have a waitress at the table I am currently sitting at, and she will get all my drink needs...I nod in approval and sit back down. The waitress then comes back out, sees that Diane and I are there, with drinks, and inquires. I explain that I was in dire need for alcohol and went to the bar. I also told her how I was 'informed' by the bartender that I had a waitress, and there was a huge misunderstanding. The waitress informs us that the bartendar has had a stick up her ass all night and she was going to talk to the manager. Great. I just got her in trouble. (I did not want this). 10minutes later the bartender comes out to the patio, and I refuse to make eye-contact with her. I think she is looking for me. She leaves. Score 1 for Boston. We all decide to close out our tabs. I request my tab from the bar for the drinks 'purchased'. Our waitress comes back and informs me that they have no record of my tab. Boston-2, On the Border-0. We go our separate ways (they to WindJammer, D and I to Buckineer) about 2 minutes into the trip, we turn around and head to the 'Jammer feeling that kareoke is a much better idea. Hanging out there for a bit, we decide that drinking @ the pad is a much better idea, and we all leave and head to our respective pads. D and I spend the next 4 hours bonding, hanging out, drinking, looking at every photo I can find @ the apartment, and getting to know each other better. Around 4am we throw on 'Day After Tomorrow' and promptly pass out behind her on the couch, only waking up to say 'God bless you' when she sneezed. A fantastic night, and a wonderful way to spend with my lovely girlfriend. Sunday we get up @ the crack of noon head over to her parent's house to celebrate Mother's Day. A great time was had by all. Gilmore Girls for like 5straight hours (still waiting for the ,"Mom, I feel kinda weird down there, will you touch it" episode) Dinner was great, and afterwards we went to the hospital to wish Wallnutz a happy 1st Mothers Day. It looked like there was a party going on in there. Good times for the new mom. Overall another great weekend. I need to start carrying a voice recorder to pick up all the great one-liners. p.s. No trees were harmed in the making of this weekend..but 1 ampitheatre was built on my porch. p.p.s. I know that D and I went to Waffle House at some point this weekend, but I cannot for the life of me remember when lol. This weekend: BBQ fest and The Davinci Code. I can't wait:) Oh and maybe a trip to Trilogy.....more on that in a bit:) | | Monday, May 8th, 2006 | | 7:52 am |
Just a point out
Airborne tastes like and orange covered ass. Yet it is a necessary evil for me. This past weekend was great. Great drinks, good laughs with the friends, etc. Good times. It was the Beale St. Music Fest Weekend. Good times:) | | Friday, May 5th, 2006 | | 7:03 am |

It'll go great with the Traffic Barrier her and I looted last weekend. This weekend: Music Fest Dear Kelnutz---I know I need better hours lol. And I need a beer. at the SAME TIME! I dreamt last night I was a gorilla scaling the side of a building trying to get into a room on the top floor...then I ate dinner @ a restaurant w/Crate in the side of a building.... then I recieved a free cell phone w/a charged batteries, but the service was gonna cost to much so I said F' it. good times. |
